Textiles Summer Workshop - Visible Mending

Suitable for: Parent and Child (aged 12 - 16 years)
Cost: £26. One ticket covers both parent and child.
Enjoy a relaxed and creative parent-and-child workshop where you’ll learn hand-stitching and decorative repair techniques such as sashiko, patching, and embroidery—without the worry of working on your own clothes. Using pre-damaged or marked fabric samples provided on the day, you’ll be free to practise, play, and experiment at your own pace. It's a perfect opportunity to build confidence, develop new skills together, and leave feeling inspired to breathe new life into your clothes at home.
Please note: This workshop takes place in our Atelier, which is on the top floor of Dumfries House, and is accessed via 89 steps. The house does not have an elevator.
