Just Farmers: Communicating with confidence in a digital world
Find your story. Build your confidence. Make your voice heard.
People working in farming and other land-based sectors have valuable knowledge and experiences to share, yet finding the right words—and the confidence—to reach a wider audience can be challenging. This practical, supportive workshop will help participants shape authentic stories in their own voice and communicate them with clarity and impact.
Designed specifically for The King’s Foundation and delivered by two media educators from Just Farmers, including founder and chief executive Anna Jones, this engaging one-and-a-half-day programme combines three focused half-day sessions: storytelling, social media, and filming on your phone.
Participants will discover why storytelling matters for farming and rural businesses, identify their niche and develop a compelling personal story idea. With individual coaching, they will explore the hook, audience and structure of their story before learning how to tell it confidently across social media, television, radio, podcasts and written communications. Practical breakout sessions will introduce entry-level smartphone filming and straightforward ways to make better use of social media.
Working in a small group of up to 12, attendees will leave with a clearer story, practical content-creation skills and greater confidence to share their perspective with the audiences that matter.
- Where MacRobert Farming and Rural Skills Centre at Dumfries House Estate, KA18 2LN
- When Monday 2nd November 2026 0900- 1700, and Tuesday 3rd November 2026 0900-1300
